May the Force be with You!

Elm Class have had a lovely start to the week. Despite the long Bank Holiday weekend we all felt rather tired on Tuesday. We did some great work however. We are continuing on decimals in Maths and in English we have been learning about real life tragedies to create our very own news articles. We each wrote a lovely article and used some powerful adjectives and emotive language. For Science we continued with our topic of ‘forces’ and in groups made our own parachute and then estimated which one we thought would be most successful, we all correctly identified the largest parachute as it would have the largest area of air resistance. We then put the theory to the test by releasing the parachutes and timing the drop.
