Elm Class have had another busy week. In Maths we continued with fractions and went over everything we had learned so far. In English we are learning about persuasive language, we watched some TV adverts and analysed the language used that compels us to buy products or donate to charities. We then used the skills we had learned to create our own poster for a Pizzeria of our own and came up with language that would persuade and entice customers to visit. For Science Week we did lots of interesting things including an experiment with biscuits to see how many times we could dunk them in hot liquid before they broke. We then came up with reasons why we think they broke at different times including the thickness of the biscuit, the sugar content and the other ingredients. This was obviously followed up by a hot chocolate each and a biscuit we actually got to eat! Finally we went Geocaching again, this time to find all of the objects the other classes had hidden. Another great week, well done Elm Class.
