Creative Ginger and our Creative Students Transform Harraton Foyer!
Return to Latest News
Just before the half term break we had an artist called Creative Ginger come in to Harraton and work with our art group. Together the students and Creative Ginger, (Andy), came up with some initial ideas and decided on a theme around ‘The Seasons’. Each student made their own design which included the changes in the weather, lots of nature and many animals in the changing seasons. Andy then took the drawings away and came up with a design for our school which incorporated all of elements of the children’s designs. He then came back to school and started transforming the foyer and the entrance to our school. The children from the art club went down in groups of two or three at a time and all helped to paint the walls. Next Andy added some beautiful animals. Upon our return to school after the half term break Andy continued and today, all of the children from the art club got to go and spray their own snowflake or butterfly. The artwork now looks amazing! The children had great fun and were very proud to be a part of the ongoing work that has transformed our once blank Foyer and entrance into a colourful masterpiece! Huge thanks to Andy for the lovely work and for his friendliness and professionalism with our lovely students and WELL DONE to the art club… you are all super stars!!
