Leopard Class had a fantastic time celebrating British Science Week, taking part in a wide range of hands‑on activities and investigations.

The pupils began the week by learning about the different parts of a plant. They explored real daffodils, carefully taking them apart to look at each component up close. Earlier this term, they planted a variety of seeds in the classroom, and it has been exciting to observe the changes as they slowly grow. The potatoes and broad beans have now begun to shoot, and the cress on our windowsill is thriving.

As part of Culture and Enrichment, Leopard Class explored the science of melting. The pupils took part in an experiment to discover which method would melt ice the fastest in order to “rescue” the Paw Patrol characters trapped inside. Some used salt, while others used water delivered through pipettes or spray bottles. They timed each attempt to see which technique would free the characters the quickest—great fun and fantastic scientific thinking.

Leopard Class have shown wonderful curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the week. Well done, everyone.
