All About Islam

In Culture & Enrichment, Leopard Class learnt all about Ramadan and Eid. The pupils explored what fasting is and why Muslims take part in it. They also discovered the importance of Ramadan and how many Muslims mark this special month by giving to charity, helping others, praying, and reading the Qur’an.

This lesson felt extra special because Ayaan brought in a wonderful collection of items from home to share with the class. He showed his classmates traditional outfits, prayer mats, and even brought some delicious dates for everyone to try. Ayaan spoke enthusiastically about his faith, explaining what it means to him. He demonstrated how he prays at the mosque and talked about how his family fasts during daylight hours. Ayaan was so excited to share his experiences that he even visited Lion Class to talk to them too.

To finish the lesson, Leopard Class enjoyed creating beautiful moon and star crafts to celebrate and symbolise Islamic culture.
