World Book Day at Harraton

World Book Day is a national celebration of stories, imagination, and the joy of reading, encouraging children everywhere to discover new books and fall in love with literature.

Books are a special interest for many of Harry Watt's pupils, so this was was a wonderful day across school. Throughout the week, classes have been transforming their doors into creative, book‑themed displays, and they all look incredible.

Staff and pupils made a fantastic effort dressing up as their favourite book characters, filling the school with colour, excitement, and imagination. During the morning, classes mixed together and enjoyed a range of book‑based activities, sharing stories and celebrating everything they love about reading.

It was a brilliant day of creativity, community, and of course books.
