Sharon Hodgson MP Visits Harry Watts Academy

Last week, Sharon Hodgson, MP for Washington and Gateshead South, visited Harry Watts Academy to speak with Headteacher Louise, and have a tour of the school to see how it supports pupils.

Sharon saw a 'spa day', witnessed glow stick Beethoven, was sang to by one of the classes and then spoke with Louise and Chris, CEO of Prosper Learning Trust. 

She also sat with the School Council, who asked some insightful political questions to learn more about her role and her thoughts on various political aspects. The pupils conveyed some brilliant questions, with some aspiring politicians in the mix.
