Christmassy Fayre with Elm Class
Return to Latest News
Elm Class had lots of fun organising their Christmas Fayre. They decided to make cheesecakes in a variety of flavours: raspberry, Biscoff, and chocolate.
Once they gathered all of the necessary ingredients, as a team, they began preparing individual cheesecakes. To begin, the pupils released some endorphins by bashing bags of biscuits with rolling pins until they had a fine crumble mix. They then carefully added melted butter to bowls of the crumble mixture and created a perfect buttery biscuit base.
The next part of the activity was to mix a soft cheese mixture, dividing and spreading it equally over the biscuit base.
Everyone worked hard together to make the cheesecakes really delicious and used flavoured sauces, sprinkles, and Christmas chocolates to decorate them.
At the Fayre, the pupils used their knowledge and skills of money confidently to take and give change to customers. The cheesecakes were a great success and sold out in record time.
