Observing a Two-Minute Silence for Remembrance Day

Birch Class took a walk to their local church to observe the two-minute silence by the war memorial. The pupils have been learning about Remembrance Day beforehand and then enjoyed a walk with Pine Class. 

They listened silently and attentively to Karen reading the poem 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrae, and then observed the two-minute silence together. Everyone then returned to school and finished making some beautiful cards depicting a poppy field and a soldier, lest we forget.
