On Friday 18th July, the Wellbeing Warriors awarded two special nominees the Wellbeing Warriors Embosser Award in their first year of setting the group up. It was a very difficult decision as all of the nominations had a special meaning behind them.
The girls decided that Ryan was a very fitting winner due to his attitude of looking after others before himself, which was described as 'incredible'. The nomination stated: "He is kind, caring, and overall a best friend for all. He will stop what he is doing when he sees someone upset, and always asks people how they are feeling and will always go over to someone who's alone."
Then, the girls decided that Kaye, their Discover pathway lead, was the staff winner, due to being an incredible member of staff for both pupils and her colleagues. They said: “Her calming and soft presence enables us all to feel like she takes our wellbeing on board. She always has a welcoming ear and takes on board student and staff issues with such grace and respect."
Both were very deserving individuals who make Harry Watts Academy a perfect place to be. What a way to end a fantastic year!
Happy summer break from the Wellbeing Warriors.
