Last week, as part of their Science topic 'Seaside' Tiger Class visited Souter Lighthouse. The staff at the lighthouse welcomed them with some lovely coastal/lighthouse Makaton. They then visited the engine room, the control room, and the lighthouse keeper's cottage, and then they climbed to the top of the lighthouse to see the lights and more controls.

The pupils then took part in a lighthouse quiz and enjoyed a picnic lunch. Everyone also enjoyed a lovely coastal walk and then coloured their own lighthouse when they got back to school.

Tiger Class was the only class where all the children climbed the 76 steps to the top. Well done Tiger Class!
