Willow Class Visit the Newcastle Buddhist Centre

On the last week of the first summer term, Willow Class had a fantastic opportunity to visit the Dhammakaya meditation centre of Newcastle in Hebburn.

It was a chance to experience a little of the Buddhist religion. We spent the whole morning there and had a grand tour of the temple. We were given lots of interesting information about the Buddhist religion and how long the temple has been in the community of Hebburn. The pupils asked lots of questions. The Temple was converted from an old, derelict church and has kept some local features to blend into the community. It was such a warm and welcoming place.
