On Wednesday 7th May Cedar Class pupils began to try out their amazing tent skills, ready for their Duke of Edinburgh award expedition. Pupils and staff used problem-solving skills to understand the inner and outer workings of the tent. By supporting each other through this, they managed to erect a fantastic tent. They even used their skills to blow up the air beds and tried out the sleeping bags. The dismantling of the tents may have been a little more difficult, as pupils and staff wrestled with the tent bag and its contents.

Then, on Thursday, 8th May, Cedar Class pupils tried out their cooking skills, preparing their own meals for the expedition. These included delicious hot dogs and noodles, as Cedar Class’s confidence has blossomed due to the many life skills lessons they have received since September.

What a fantastic week we have had! Everyone is becoming super excited for our trip in June.
