Elm Class Commemorate VE Day

Elm Class had a lovely day last Thursday to commemorate VE Day and remember all of those who fought for our freedom 80 years ago.

We played music of that time, including Vera Lynn, and decorated our classroom with Union Jacks and memorabilia from that era. We then used our independence skills to decorate the table and make a sandwich of our choice; we had the choice of cucumber or jam sandwiches, followed by strawberries and cream and small Victoria sponges. We then stood respectfully together and observed the two-minute silence. Well done, Elm Class!
