Elm Class Visit Newcastle United Foundation Careers Hub
Return to Latest News
On Wednesday last week, Elm Class enjoyed a trip to the Metro Centre, where we visited the Newcastle United Foundation Careers Hub. We met up with the staff and joined in with activities relating to careers and the world of work. We explored the qualities and skills we would need to gain employment when we leave the education system.
After doing activities in the centre, we walked to a restaurant called ‘Grounded Kitchen’. Once there we had the opportunity to meet the Manager of the restaurant and ask him questions about the daily running of his business. We then enjoyed lunch and had the opportunity to visit a few shops that we had agreed to visit in the Metro Centre. The pupils were polite, cheerful and chatty throughout the visit and once again did Harry Watts Academy proud. Have an amazing half-term Elm Class, and enjoy a well-deserved break!
