On Thursday Willow Class had a brilliant time down at Bill Quay Farm! We were welcomed and walked around the farm by one of their wonderful employees, Marcus. He was great at telling us the history of the farm, including when they first opened, what animals they have on their farm and hopefully what animals they are trying to get next! He even showed us that the farm have their very own TikTok.

In the morning, we started with taking a look at the pigs and chickens that the farm kept before walking round to the alpacas and sheep. All of the pupils had a go at feeding the animals, which they all loved! Kindly, Marcus surprised us with being able to walk their 2 goats Ant and Dec.

At lunchtime, we sat and ate our dinners in the picnic area with a lovely view of the Tyne.

After lunch, were taken to the barn where we were able to go in the rabbit enclosure to stoke and spend time with the rabbits, while also getting a chance at holding a ferret. We were also given time to fed the pigs their lunch by splitting into two groups to feed the boy and girl pigs.

Continuing on, the rest of the afternoon we spent on the gruffalo trail where we read the story as we walked through the willow woods.

We ended our day by having a reflective session where we said and drew what our favourite part of the day was and also our favourite animal that we saw.

Willow Class had a wonderful time on this trip, smiles all day long and we cannot wait to go back and visit again in the summer.
