Harvest Festival Fun
Return to Latest News
Leopard Class had a fantastic morning learning about the Harvest Festival in assembly. The pupils learnt all about the fruit and vegetables grown and home cooked foods they can make from them, including delicious soups and yummy pies.
They continued the harvest theme fun back in the classroom, where they enjoyed a carousel of activities all linked to the Harvest Festival. The pupils enjoyed pretending to milk the cow by squeezing the milk out of a rubber glove. Messy play is always welcomed by the pupils.
The pupils rotated between the activity stations and were creative in making a scarecrow mask, using crayons, pencils, tissue paper and glue, increasing their confidence and fine motor skills by cutting out the scarecrows hat and eyes carefully with scissors.
As part of the activity, the class had lots of laughs apple bobbing in the water.
