Celebrating People Who Help Us

This term, Leopard Class' topic has been 'People Who Help Us'. During Creative Arts, the pupils explored the many important roles that people have within the emergency services, the local community and their school. The children enjoyed discussing different jobs and learning about the responsibilities that come with them.

They were very lucky to have their LSA, Rebecca, bring in her nurse's uniform and shared her experiences of working as a nurse. The children listened carefully as she talked about the different roles she has undertaken in both hospitals and schools, and they were fascinated to learn about how nurses help and care for others every day.

To continue their learning, the pupils enjoyed dressing up and taking part in role-play activities. The classroom was transformed into a busy community filled with vets, doctors, dentists, nurses, police officers, builders, security guards, teachers and many more. The children showed great imagination as they acted out different jobs and demonstrated their understanding of how these important people help us in their everyday lives.
