International Dot Day

On Tuesday, Leopard Class celebrated International Dot Day. The pupils learnt when it takes place, what it's all about and why it's celebrated around the world.

They began by reading the story 'The Dot' by Peter H. Reynolds, which is the book that International Dot Day is based on. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story and discussing its important message about creativity and believing in yourself.

Inspired by the story, Leopard Class used their creativity and imagination to create their very own dot artwork. They explored a range of materials, including paints, glitter, crayons, felt-tip pens, sponges and cotton buds. Using these resources, they created big dots, small dots, textured dots, smooth dots, and all kind of colourful patterns and designs.

The pupils had so much fun experimenting with different techniques and expressing themselves through art. They were incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, creativity and the fantastic artwork they produce.
