Leopard Class Marvellous Medicine
Return to Latest News
Leopard Class has had a wonderful time during Culture & Enrichment, celebrating Roald Dahl Day with lots of imaginative and creative activities.
The pupils enjoyed reading George's Marvellous Medicine, the story of George and his extraordinary concoction for his grumpy grandma. They explored how George's medicine caused all sorts of unexpected and hilarious changes, sparking plenty of discussion and laughter.
Inspired by the story, the children had great fun creating their own pretend marvellous medicines using ingredients such as (pretend) pickle juice, coffee, tears, sweat and toilet water. Using their fantastic imaginations, they thought about the magical effects their medicines might have. Some could teleport people to different places, others could make wings grow, cause someone to grow taller or shrink smaller, and even transform them into a hedgehog!
It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, storytelling and imaginative thinking, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the celebrations.
