Sunny Trip to Saltwell Park
Return to Latest News
What a wonderful day to end a fantastic year in Oak Class. The pupils and staff embarked on their very own trip to Saltwell Park in Gateshead, where they played on the park and Estelle for stuck on the climbing ropes and Jack had to rescue her.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the swings, which reminded Tommy of the ones at the big fairgrounds. They then went on a lovely floral walk to the rose garden and sensory garden, where the beautiful scents of the different flowers followed them around.
After this it was time for lunch and the class sat on the grassy bank with the beautiful view of the castle tower in front of them. Everyone enjoyed their lunches, along with Joe and his favourite sausages for his. They then played some games, including hula hooping, tennis, and rolling down the hill, which Archie thoroughly enjoyed. They then went to see the peacocks and chickens in the gardens, but unfortunately didn't get to see their feathers expanding. Then, they continued their adventure to the maze, where they all showed great organisation and directorial skills. The day ended by buying ice creams for everyone.
What an absolutely amazing day everyone had making the most amazing memories together. Karen, Estelle, Lorraine and Jack are incredibly proud of all of their hard work that every pupil has completed.
