Harry Watts Academy Football Team Attend the Premier League Disability Football Festival
Return to Latest News
The Harry Watts Academy football team had a fantastic opportunity this week to attend the Premier League Disability Football Festival. This was all thanks to a close partnership with Sunderland Foundation of Light. The school would like to say a special thanks to Ronnie from the Foundation of Light and Faz, the school's PE lead, for organising this.
The pupils were a credit to the school and were impeccable all day, even with a three and a half hour drive there and back. There were 15 schools in attendance from all over the North, Wrexham, Everton, West Brom, Nottingham Forest and Leeds.
They were absolutely amazing and got right to the final, but were sadly beaten on penalties. Everyone is so proud of the team and school. They were absolutely fantastic, so a big well done Harry Watts Academy.
