Duke of Edinburgh in Pine Class

Last week it was Pine Class' turn to participate in their DofE expedition. The pupils were all fantastic and completed their tasks.

Firstly, they boarded a bell-boat and rowed with the professional instructor around the Sunderland Marinas waters. Two of the pupils even entered the water in wet suites. Then, they completed a walk using a map. Back at the campsite, the pupils put up their tents ready for an overnight stay. Everyone managed to cook noodles and burgers on the camp stoves for tea, and later they enjoyed pizza.

The next day, Pine Class completed a very long walk using their map skills. Everyone was fabulous.
