Sensational Third Week

In the third week back, Oak Class has thoroughly enjoyed their learning, where they have enjoyed exploring the traditional tale of Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, however they saw that there were lots of interesting twists within it. In Maths, the pupils started learning about volume and capacity and how to measure in millilitres. They had different measuring jugs and had to draw the correct amount of liquid in millilitres.

In PSHE, the pupils have learnt all about the environment and the importance of planting seeds and plants for the insects and bees, so they all planted their own sunflower seeds and can’t wait to watch them grow.

In Creative Arts, the pupils have all made their own silhouettes using a torch to shine on our side profiles and drew them onto black paper. They all look amazing and even squeezed in a lovely walk to the park for their daily mile, which all the pupils enjoyed.
