Celebrating World Bee Day
Return to Latest News
Leopard Class had a fantastic time celebrating World Bee Day. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed exploring the buzzing bees, hiding them in their beehives on the tuff tray. They were even lucky enough to receive a special visit from the Queen Bee.
The class then created their own honeycomb artwork by printing with painted bubble wrap to achieve a realistic honeycomb texture. All of the individual pieces were combined to form a large, group beehive display. To finish, they baked a delicious honey cake and learnt all about how bees make honey and why they play such an important role in supporting plants.
