Two Fantastic Days of Learning and Adventure

Ash Class have enjoyed a wonderful two days of hands‑on learning this week. On Tuesday, they joined Oak and Willow Class for an exciting trip to Souter Lighthouse.

They began the day with rock pooling, discovering crabs and a variety of fascinating sea creatures along the shoreline. After lunch, the pupils took a guided tour of Souter Lighthouse, where they learnt all about its history and the important role it played in keeping sailors safe.

On Wednesday, the class returned to South Shields beach as part of their English topic on information leaflets. After studying holiday brochures in class, this visit gave them the perfect chance to gather real‑life inspiration. They spent a lovely morning exploring the beach before stopping for chips or an ice cream. The day ended with a fun visit to the park, where everyone played beautifully together.
It was a brilliant two days filled with learning, teamwork, and plenty of seaside smiles.
