On Thursday, Elm Class, along with Maple Class and Pine Class went on a trip to Souter Lighthouse. The pupils were very lucky with the weather on the morning and enjoyed a walk around the grounds. They had binoculars and spent time bird watching and looking for wild flowers, as well as doing some litter picking on the grounds.

The staff from the National Trust were their hosts and tour guides and gave them lots of fascinating information about the beautiful coastline. They then had lunch and spent a little time in the sun before exploring the lighthouse. The pupils learnt all about the history of the lighthouse and ended the tour with a trip up the spiral staircase to see the huge light for themselves. It was a wonderful day and fun, educational and enjoyed by all.
