Exploring Forces

Over the past two weeks, Ash Class has been exploring the forces of water resistance and air resistance through hands‑on experiments. The pupils began by learning what sink and float mean and made predictions about which classroom objects would sink the fastest. They then carried out an investigation, timing how long each object took to reach the bottom before writing up their results carefully.

This week, the focus shifted to air resistance. The class designed and created their very own kites, thinking about how shape and material affect how well something can move through the air. They then took their kites outside to test them — a brilliant way to see air resistance in action.
