On Thursday Oak Class had a lovely visit to The Hancock Museum in Newcastle. The trip links with our Humanities topic of Ancient Egyptians. We left school at 11.30am and arrived in time for lunch. After we had eaten we had an interesting talk about fossils, we got to hold them and ask lots of questions. After the talk we explored the museum and we loved looking at the Egyptian mummies and tombs. We all loved the interactive floor which told the story about mummification and the afterlife. The students also enjoyed looking at the dinosaurs and exploring the rest of the museum before returning to school.
